At Footwyse Clinic, we provide a full spectrum of foot care services each one tailored to support your specific needs. Whether you’re coming in for routine maintenance, seeking relief from a chronic condition, or looking to prevent future issues, we’re here to help you move comfortably and confidently.

Our services include:

Our lead Chiropodist, Arezou and skilled team provide specialized, personalized care to prevent and treat a wide range of foot conditions. We understand the unique needs of our community and are dedicated to keeping your feet healthy, pain-free, and functioning at their best. From routine assessments to managing conditions such as corns, calluses, fungal infections, warts, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, bunions, and diabetic foot complications, we take a comprehensive and holistic approach to address the root cause of your concerns and support your overall foot health.

Custom-made orthotics are prescription medical devices designed to enhance the function of your feet and legs by improving alignment, redistributing pressure, and providing optimal cushioning. They help reduce the strain and abnormal forces placed on the feet that can lead to muscle, joint, and soft tissue injuries

We provide personalized recommendations for footwear with our without orthotics to ensure proper support and alignment. Whether you’re an athlete, or someone with a chronic condition, or simply looking for everyday comfort, we’ll help you find the right solution.

Although our services are not covered under OHIP, they are commonly covered under your extended health care insurance or veterans’ Affairs and/or can be used for income tax health deduction purposes. Direct billing for select insurance companies are available at the clinic. Call us for more information.

What’s the Difference Between a Chiropodist and a Podiatrist?

Both Chiropodists and Podiatrists are highly trained foot specialists who assess, and treat conditions affecting the feet and ankles. They can prescribe medications, perform soft-tissue procedures, and provide custom orthotics and orthopaedic footwear.

The main distinction lies in educational background and timing of registration rather than scope of care.

  • Podiatrists in Ontario completed their education outside of Ontario (typically in the United States) and registered with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario before 1993.
  • Since July 31, 1993, new registrants in Ontario, regardless of where they trained are licensed under the title Chiropodist.

While both practitioners share similar responsibilities, Podiatrists may also perform bone surgery, depending on their individual qualifications and scope of practice.

Both professions are regulated by the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, and practitioners must pass comprehensive board and provincial licensing examinations before being authorized to practice.

In summary both Chiropodist and Podiatrists are highly skilled professionals, specialized to care for your specific foot and ankle needs.

At Footwyse Clinic, we believe that healthy feet are the foundation of a healthy, active life. Let us help you take healthy steps forward toward better foot health and overall well-being.
