Clinic policy for Footwyse Clinic & Orthotic Centre 

Medical Emergencies

If you are experiencing a serious or potentially life-threatening medical emergency, please go directly to the nearest Emergency Department for immediate care.

Fees & Insurance Coverage

  • Chiropody services are not covered by OHIP. Payment is required at the end of your appointment. A detailed receipt will be provided for insurance reimbursement and/or income tax purposes.
  • The initial assessment and treatment fee is $95. This includes a full evaluation of your condition and routine foot care treatment by the chiropodist.
  • If your treatment requires additional procedures, for example, the use of local anesthetic, fees will vary. All costs and options will be discussed with you before any treatment is performed.
  • Footwyse Clinic & Orthotic Centre is recognized by most insurance companies under your extended health care plan. Chiropody coverage is often listed under “Paramedical Services” or “Orthopedic Supplies and Equipment.”

Direct Billing

  • We offer direct billing for select insurance providers.
  • To submit claims on your behalf, patients must sign an Electronic Transmission Authorization and Consent Form.
  • Please note: direct billing is not available for custom products or special orders (e.g., orthotics, orthopedic footwear, or compression stockings). Payment for these items is required at the time of ordering.

Absences, Cancellations & Lateness

At Footwyse, we value your time and that of all our patients. To help us maintain timely care and access for everyone follow the below guidelines.

Cancellations

  • When you book an appointment, a specific time slot is reserved just for you. If you can no longer attend, please notify us as soon as possible so that another patient may use that time.
  • We require at least 24 hours notice for all cancellations.

How to Cancel

  • Please call us at 416-789-6554 to cancel or reschedule your appointment
  • Alternatively you can cancel and reschedule your appointment online through the janeapp. 

Lateness

  • If you expect to arrive late, please call to let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you.
  • However, if you are 15 minutes or more late, we may need to reschedule your appointment to ensure other patients are seen on time and the chiropodist’s schedule remains on track.

Refund Policy

  • Custom or specialty products, such as orthotics, compression stockings, foot creams, and footwear  are non-refundable.
  • A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of ordering.
  • Once an order is placed, production begins immediately, and changes or cancellations are not possible.
