Common Foot Problems

Foot problems can be experienced by anyone at any age (children, adults and seniors). A professional foot care specialist, such as a Chiropodist can help with early detection of foot conditions and therefore can help prevent problems later in life.

Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetic Foot Care

  • High blood sugar levels can directly impact your foot health. Early changes can be loss of sensation (peripheral neuropathy) or reduced blood to your feet (peripheral vascular disease), often starting at the toes. This can become very dangerous as you may not feel harmful objects or extreme temperatures injuring your feet. With inadequate blood supply healing is therefore reduced leading to ulcers, infections, possible gangrene and amputations in worst case scenarios. Such outcomes are less likely to occur if you seek expert advice regularly.
